Meet the Changemakers: Ivana Stojanoska

HIMSS serves the global health information and technology communities with focused operations across North America, Europe, the United Kingdom, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. Our members include more than 80,000 individuals, 480 provider organizations, 470 non-profit partners and 650 health services organizations. The HIMSS staff is made up of changemakers who collaborate with members to reform the global health ecosystem through the power of information and technology.

Ivana Stojanoska is Business Development Manager at HIMSS EMEA (International).

How long have you been at HIMSS?

I’ve been at HIMSS little more than three years now, and I have recently moved from Skopje to Berlin, where one of our European offices is located.

How do you support our mission statement?

I am working closely with our corporate members, start-ups, technology providers, communities and others to help them create awareness about innovative solutions and their impact on reforming the global health ecosystem through the power of information and technology. I see my role in building a bridge between the healthcare providers, the technology providers and HIMSS members, so that we can tackle different health challenges first on a regional and then on a global level.

How do you know your work at HIMSS makes a difference?

I am in daily contact with my customers. Their feedback tells me every day that I can make a difference; be it because we helped them position a product, discuss the value of a solution, the need for a specific solution in a given region or drive a topic that has the potential to change the way all of us are experiencing healthcare. I am currently working with them on the HIMSS European Conference, which will take place digitally for the first time, and helping my clients master that transition is another aspect of my job.

What’s one thing you wish everyone knew about the work you do at HIMSS?

I am working with people from many countries on a daily basis, and I am in full respect of their local challenges; but, at the end of the day, I feel they are all uniting behind the HIMSS vision, and I want to thank them for their support and help in realizing the full health potential of every human, everywhere.
