Welcome to Louisiana HIMSS! My name is Bryan Taylor, your 2022-2023 Louisiana HIMSS Chapter President.
I have spent most of my life in Louisiana and served the community as a nurse practitioner for 20 plus year. I recently became part of the local health IT community in 2014, starting with telehealth and digital health and making an impact on healthcare quality innovations.
Louisiana HIMSS and national HIMSS chapter are organizations I've been a member of for ten years and continues to be a resource for learning regarding healthcare IT innovations. Its has also been a great networking outlet both locally and on a national scale and the organization continues to expose me to innovations and modern challenges in healthcare delivery.
The Louisiana chapter of HIMSS has some exciting plans for 2024, we have a new podcast and youtube channel bringing you new speakers and content on demand, check it out if you haven’t already and watch free healthcare IT webinars from professionals in the field.. We plan to offer members in-person networking options locally and at the national conference in Orlando.

Louisiana HIMSS along with Mississippi, and Alabama hosted the 10th annual Gulf Coast 3 (GC3) conference in Biloxi, MS this past November, and it was a great success. Be looking for the GC3 event next year in Alabama, we will be accepting applications for student posters soon.
Louisiana HIMSS and the Board always appreciate new ideas and members looking to participate. If you have interest in contributing your time, Louisiana HIMSS is a great way to provide leadership and get to know the healthcare IT community.
